Daniel Docher, Assistant Winemaker
A gifted winemaker in his own right, Daniel Docher works side-by-side with longtime Chappellet winemaker Phillip Corallo-Titus to ensure the comprehensive attention to detail that defines great winemaking. As Chappellet’s assistant winemaker since 2004, Daniel is active in every facet of production from crush to bottling. In addition, he plays an important role contributing to key winemaking and blending decisions.
Prior to joining Chappellet, Daniel was the winemaker at Sonoma Valley’s acclaimed Hanzell Vineyards, where he worked closely with the winery’s renowned winemaker emeritus, Bob Sessions. In addition to his winemaking position at Hanzell, Daniel has worked at such respected wineries as Newton Vineyard, Elliston Vineyards and Wente Vineyards. When not pursuing his passion for winemaking, Daniel also enjoys photography and hiking. He lives in Sonoma with his wife Karen and two children.
