The name ‘HUNNICUTT’ was Justin's great grandmother’s maiden name, is Justin's middle name and the middle name our daughter, Parker Hunnicutt Stephens. To accompany HUNNICUTT, they added a companion brand in 2007 called CUTT that will focus on producing wines other than Zin, Cab and Chard. Ladera Vineyards
Ladera Vineyards is the home of estate grown and produced hillside Cabernet Sauvignon focused on their Howell Mountain Appellation Cabernet. Behind this wine is the historic 186 restored and renovated stone winery and underground barrel caves. The Ladera story has many facets; each very important to their heritage. They focus on their wines but you can’t talk about wine without knowing about the winemaking and there would be no winemaking without a winery. Their 1886 stone winery is our history and its foundation supports the balance of our efforts.
Patz & Hall
Patz & Hall was founded in 1988 by four talented individuals - Donald Patz, James Hall, Anne Moses and Heather Patz. Together, they have turned Patz & Hall into one of California’s most highly regarded wineries, with a celebrated portfolio of single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines.
Robert Biale
For over seventy years beginning in 1937 the Biale family has grown Zinfandel and a variety of produce on their farm located on the outskirts of the town of Napa. A large population of white leghorn chickens once produced a steady supply of eggs that a young Aldo Biale regularly delivered around ton to customers. Most of the Zinfandel grapes were sold to Napa wineries but some grapes were reserved so Aldo could make homemade wine for friends and family. We consider our Zinfandel to be the ideal expression of this flavorful California variety- with regard to precisely where it is grown. Intensive hand-farming, extreme thinning and careful selection of only the fully ripe “black” clusters make for very small yields per vine and give our Zinfandels their distinct personalities and rich, hedonistic style.
Robert Craig Winery
For Robert Craig, winemaking always begins with vineyards—more specifically, with his belied in the crucial importance of vineyard location in producing wines of tremendous depth and character. By concentrating on small quantities of wine from distinctive Napa Valley mountain vineyards, he has been able to create wines that reflect the impact of “terroir”, or the combination of soils, climate and viticultural characteristics of the growing locale. Robert Craig Winery showcases four award-winning,terroir-based Cabernet Sauvignons from exceptional Napa Valley mountain and hillside vineyards. These cellar-worthy, structured and stylish Cabernets convey a unique personality derived from the soils, climate and varietal characteristics of each growing region.
